Johnny Romeo - Influencing artist

Johnny Romeo is an Australian Contemporary Pop Artist. He explores materialism, advertising, consumerism and brand name heroes. He combines pop art with a street art style using bold colours and heavy outlines. The addition of text and quotes to each composition creates another dimension to the work, leaving the audience contemplating the artists intention. The words lead the audience to make new connections to the subject explored in the work.

Places and Spaces Evaluation

- Create a New Post

1. Add a photo of your completed ink drawing and a your photo of De La Salle.
2. Describe the process of creating your Places and Spaces artwork. Start from developing your design and how you went about this. (5 lines)
3. List 5 skills you have learnt by completing this unit of work.
4. Describe your artwork in detail, explaining your composition (the arrangement of objects within the artwork). You should discuss both the edited photograph and the ink work.     Explore both the art elements and the Design Principles to guide your response. (6 - 8 lines)

Design Principles

1. Locate all your images from our 'Photo Hunt' Photo-shoot.

2. Go to your Visual Arts Blog and begin creating a new post.

3. Insert/upload each image you wish to use, they should show the best example of each Design Principle.

4. Label the image with the correct Design principle/s, and explain how the design principle is shown. 

5. I will be looking for amazing images which show excellent use of the design principle/s, as well as visual interest.
